Renoir, Pierre Auguste
(2/25/1841 Limoges- 12/2/1919 Cagnes) (France)
   Painter, graphic artist, and sculptor. Pupil of Corot. A major figure of the Impressionist movement in France, his work is among the most sensuous of the group, with female nudes one of his favorite subjects. His contemporaries called him the "painter of life."
